Bank BTN, incomplete "Bank Tabungan Negara Persero" is a government-owned company engaged in the financial services and banking. It has been founded in 1897 in Batavia with the name Postspaarbank.
Following the history of Indonesia, Bank BTN also experienced several name changes before the name until now used. Starting from Postspaarbank, then became Tyokin Kyoku in 1942 during the Japanese occupation, up to the time after the proclamation of independence using the name "Post Office Savings". Until eventually since 1998 using the official name today.
Bank BTN Persero currently headed by Iqbal Latanro as Director. On June 12, 2012 have been awarded Corporate Image Awards 2012 from Blomberg Businessweek Indonesia and Frontieer Consulting Group, which entered into a Category National Bank with assets < 100 trillion.
