ConocoPhillips Indonesia Career Program
ConocoPhillips Indonesia currently operates both offshore oil and gas fields in the Block B PSC in the Natuna Sea and onshore oil and gas fields in the Corridor PSC in South Sumatra. A variety of completion designs are utilized including but not limited to cased and perforated, large bore completions in naturally fractured reservoirs, horizontal standalone screens, and multizone frac pack completions with or without intelligent well integration.


Senior Completion Engineer

BASIC PURPOSES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all completion engineering planning and implementation for offshore well operations and well servicing.
  • Actively participate in promoting safety and environmental awareness with all staff, contractors, and vendors such that operations are carried out in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
  • Conduct all completion engineering for completions including but not limited to completing MaxBook, specifying completion equipment, writing detailed procedures, conducting after action reviews, and compiling end of well reports. Prepare tenders for completion equipment and services and either manage or own several completion contracts throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Generate completion cost estimates, assist in the Well Operations budget planning, SKKMigas Workplan and Budget (WP&B) cycle, and internal and partner AFE approval.
  • Monitor day to day completion operations and provide onsite rig support as required. Document lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement and best practices are incorporated.
  • Represent Well Operations on several Integrated Asset Teams and coordinate Front End Loading (FEL) deliverables for major projects in accordance to the ConocoPhillips Well Design and Delivery Process.
  • Lead weekly Well Operations team meetings, Complete Well on Paper (CWOP) sessions, After Action Reviews, or other meetings as required.
  • Maintain compliance with COPI procurement policies. As Contract Manager for several key Well Operations contracts, be responsible for contract monitoring, organize biannual contract management meetings, and preparation of tenders.
  • Mentor and develop junior Completion, Drilling, and Production Engineers on a continuous basis.
  • Serve as a representative on relevant Networks of Excellence (NOE) and continue to keep abreast of new technology both within COP and industry. Identify innovative completion techniques to reduce completion costs and/or maximize project value.
  • Accept delegation of authority from Chief Offshore Well Operations or Chief Completion Engineer as required.


QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum Bachelor degree in engineering.

Required & Preferred Skills/Competencies

  • Strong background in Completions, Well Interventions, and Well Testing. Experience with subsea and sand exclusion completions is preferred. Familiar with Drilling, Reservoir, and/or Production Engineering.
  • Capable of working in a diverse multi-cultural, multi-national, highly team oriented environment. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven operational, planning, mentoring, and coordination skills.
  • Working understanding of all financial aspects of drilling, completions, and well services including budgeting, reporting, and accounting.
  • Greater than working knowledge of Inflow/Outflow analysis.
  • Working knowledge of WellView®, tubular stress analysis (WellCat®) is preferred.


Desired Experience Level

  • Minimum 10 years of completions experience preferably with some drilling, well intervention, and/or production operations experience.
  • Special Skills, Training, & Certifications
  • IWCF or IADC well control certification is preferable.


SAFETY ENGINEER

Responsible to manage all activities related to the various Safety Cases, provide safety engineering and major accident hazard management advices, ensure all designs, changes curing projects, and construction meet standards and that risk acceptance criteria is met.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the Safety Case(s) relevant to the assigned asset(s) in accordance with company guide and government regulations
  • Ensure the appropriate Design, Operations and Combined Operations Safety Cases are prepared in compliance with statutory requirements and company standards.
  • Maintenance of the Safety Cases, including minor amendments, material changes and statutory updates.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering.
  • 5 years of field experiences.
  • Knowledge of processes and what are the impacts of design and operations, knowledge of fire risk analysis, gas dispersion, drop object, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, FERA, ORA, ship collision, escape evacuation, engineering systems, fire protection and safety integrity level analysis

PROCESS ENGINEER

BASIC PURPOSES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsible to provide process engineering support, guidance and assistance to the Operation Team in all matters relating to facility engineering design and operability issues, with a strong emphasis on value adding activities and risk minimization.

Job Description :

  • Contribute in all aspects of the process/ facilities design for all phases of onshore Project, including concept optimization, development of process simulations, Process Flow Diagram (PFD), P&ID, equipment/line sizing, SAFE charts, and all other process documentation required by other engineering disciplines.
  • Provide innovation for plant production optimization, technical assistance to all Area Field Engineer of Onshore/Offshore Operation Engineering.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in process design and operation in oil and gas facilities or petrochemical plant with most of this time is in gas conditioning and processing.
  • Working capability in the use of Process Engineering tools/ Process Simulators and Computer Models, including HYSIS, PIPESIM, and equipment rating programs.
  • Experience with gas turbines, waste heat recovery steam systems and water treating, Basics of Design, Process Design & Safety System Design, and Process Evaluations/analysis.


MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Technical expertise provider in the area of mechanical engineering to support engineering and operation group for trouble-shooting and optimization of production facility.

Job Description

  • Perform detail engineering calculation and analysis related to mechanical both static and rotating equipment that may raise to support internal engineering, operation and other functions.
  • Develop detail concept of project through detail engineering calculation based on engineering standards & codes normally used in oil and gas production facility (API, ASME, ANSI) and best practices such as mechanical strength calculation of piping, pressure vessel, tanks, pumps, compressors etc.
  • Create detail specification of equipment both rotating and static as part of the system that derived from the process engineering concept.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 6 years of experiences in performing engineering -approached troubleshooting of plant equipment both rotating & static equipment of oil & gas or Petrochemicals plant operation.
  • Having good knowledge on rotating equipment sizing, selection and problem analysis, familiar with project development execution milestones (FEL, FEED, PEP)


CORROSION ENGINEER

BASIC PURPOSE

  • The purpose of Sr. Corrosion Engineer role is to ensure all the COPI production facilities both offshore and onshore will perform perfectly without disruption/down time due to corrosion attacks by setting-up the system management, implementing and coordinating all corrosion prevention, CP monitoring, chemical technology, and material/ metallurgy engineering
  • He/She shall provide consultancies to engineering plant operation and maintenance to assure the corrosion rates of all the production facilities are within tolerable/design limits.


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • This job is to facilitate the establishment and the implementation of the work programs in the discipline of corrosion control , management and engineering.
  • While the job is an in-house consultant in nature, the corrosion engineer is expected to lead the ad-hoc teams in defining the acceptable corrosion control efforts in accordance with company and industry standards, codes, and other ConocoPhillips requirements in order to maintain high reliability, safety and mechanical integrity of all the production facilities.
  • As corrosion control occurs in all phases of activities in the oil & gas industry, Corrosion Engineer is expected to have a good understanding on project, construction, production, engineering and maintenance.
  • This is an office based job and requiring periodic visits to asset facilities and possibly shop fabricator, project offices, vendor warehouse.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • The job requires a person with an engineering degree (S1) preferably in Chemical/Process, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering with at least ten (10) years experience in corrosion engineering within the petroleum or petrochemical industry.
  • Offshore and onshore experiences are required, as well as environmental (external) and process (internal) corrosion expertise. A strong knowledge of metallurgy, electrochemistry and chemicals application are also required. Basic understanding of HSE theory and application is necessary.
  • A good understanding of general operations aspects of the oil & gas industry through field development, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance will be beneficial.
  • The role requires good spoken and written English as well as the ability to work in a multinational environment both offshore and onshore.
