Panin Bank was established in 1971 from the merger between Bank Industri Jaya, Bank Kemakmuran, dan Bank Industri Dagang Indonesia. This bank is one of the major commercial banks in Indonesia. and has listed its shares on the Bursa Efek Jakarta in 1982 ago. The bank also claimed as the first bank to Go Public in Indonesia.
PT. Bank Panin Tbk. shares are now held by ANZ Banking Group of Austarlia (39%), Panin Financial (46%), and public-domestic and international (15%). With a strong capital structure and high capital adequacy ratio, the Bank is almost recapitalized by the government after the economic crisis in 1998, but was lucky the government not to recapitalize the bank.
Panin Bank listed as the 7th largest bank in Indonesia in terms of total assets Rp.71, 2 trillion in June 2009, with a capital of Rp. 9.8 trillion and 23.9% of CAR. Panin Bank has a network of business, amounting to more than 450 spread across various cities in Indonesia and has more than 18,500 ATM ALTO and Shared ATM networks , Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Phone Banking and Call Center and Debit Card in collaboration with MasterCard, Cirrus, Maestro which can be accessed internationally.
