Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) is a joint venture automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer with headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia. The company was founded in April 2008 and is the successor of the previous Isuzu manufacturer, Pantja Engine, founded in May 1974. The new company is owned by Isuzu of Japan and the holding company Astra International' holding 44.94%. The remaining stake of 10.12% is owned by the Indonesian Product Exhibition. Under the leadership of President Prijono Sugiarto, the company manufacturers up to 75,000 units a year. The majority of the products are for export to the markets of Thailand, the Philippines and China.

In 1999 started the engine Pantja, and their cooperation with the vehicle tuner Otomotif Berita Indonesia, where the production of body parts and assemblies for the then called Berita-Isuzu Elf took over. From 2002 Isuzu then delivered chassis, engine, transmission and the interior of the Panthers to the company. As they arrived at the factory, the kits were built with body parts of the Hummer H2 provided. Technically, there is thus no match for the American version of the model of AM General. However, the 2007 model had the Isuzu Bison soft, which is available both as a flatbed as well as minibus. The Bison is currently the most successful model Isuzu's in Indonesia.

Since its founding in April 2008, the Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia company dissolved their venture with Berita. The Berita-Isuzu Elf is still very much in demand. The 2011 facelift to replace the current version and any later be available for other works also via CKD and SKD kits. Only since 2009, there are in Indonesia the world's most popular PickUp Isuzu D-Max. At the same time ran the installation of sport utility vehicles Isuzu MU-7.
